The Market Trend Model (http://bitly.com/M_Trend_Model) continues to show a positive bias as the day to day volatility remains the constant theme for 2015. So far this week the major indexes have held above their respective 10-week moving averages and this bodes well for continued price appreciation.
I have found that when markets are volatile, as they have been this year, it is best to empty one's mind of any directional bias and simply trade with the flow. Be patient and wait for the setup to come to you. Trades will always be missed, there is no way around this fact. Patience and well timed aggression are the keys to success in any market, including the current schizophrenic market.
In the words of Bruce Lee, “Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
At the moment, the market is flowing like water.
